On September 22-23, 2021, the 10th International Doctoral Seminar / European School for Young Materials Scientists took place at the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS in Dresden. The meeting was attended by PhD students from the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences and PhD students from Technische Universitat Dresden and Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems from Germany and Univesidade Nova de Lisboa from Portugal. During the meeting, the participants gave 17 speeches and presented 16 posters. The seminar was a forum for the exchange of valuable experiences and discussions in an interdisciplinary, international group of young scientists.

The trip and participation in the event of doctoral students from KISD was financed from the funds of the STER program – internationalization of doctoral schools obtained from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
