CZESŁAW M. RODKIEWICZ SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION has opened the call for applications 2024 in the competition for students and doctoral students. The competition winners will receive one-time funding in the amount of CDN$4,000.00 (Canadian dollars), which is intended to help them continue their education at university and doctoral school, respectively.
We are pleased to announce that the Krakow Interdisciplinary Doctoral School has received funding under the STER program – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools, 2023 edition. The project “Kraków Interdisciplinary Doctoral School – beyond the horizon through cooperation, internationalization and interdisciplinarity” received funding in the amount of PLN 2,000,000.00 and will be implemented over a period of 3 years from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026.
The Cyfronet AGH Academic Computer Center annually organizes an Open Day for the scientific community of Krakow and Małopolska. The meeting presents the latest directions in the development of computer and network architectures, new software technologies and the activities of our Center; its hardware resources, software and services offered. Traditionally, during the Open Day, the winners of the competition for the best doctoral thesis based on the computing resources of ACK Cyfronet AGH also present their works.
TopMinds is a mentoring program that helps open doors to an international career. The program is based on an individual development path agreed in cooperation with the Mentor. It is directed, among others, by: for doctoral students preparing a doctoral dissertation at a Polish university (or another scientific or research institution) and distinguishing themselves in the scientific field.
Beginning of the academic year 2023/2024
The beginning of the academic year is scheduled for October 2, 2023 at 1.00 p.m. in the auditorium of the The Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences. On this day, persons admitted to the doctoral school will take the oath.
The newly created DIGI+ network offers 20 post-doctoral training and research places for future leaders of sustainable digital transformation in Europe, as part of a project funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions COFUND (Horizon Europe programme). The competition for the top 10 ideas is now open: grant applications can be submitted here until September 22, in the following areas of interest: Innovative Business Models and Data Ecosystems, Digital Culture and Skills, Date Governance, Innovative Digital Technologies and Adoption.
The 12th Asia-Pacific International Conference: Towards the Indo-Pacific: new strategies and patterns of international cooperation and exchange

On January 13, 2022, a new unit joined the Krakow School of Interdisciplinary PhD Studies: the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute Polish Academy of Sciences. The Institute is authorized to confer doctoral degrees in the field of engineering and technical sciences in the disciplines of environmental engineering, mining and energy. We warmly welcome the new unit among the entities co-creating the doctoral school!
The Academic Computer Center CYFRONET AGH announces a competition for the best doctoral dissertation based on the computing resources of Cyfronet.
The SSHN scholarship is dedicated to Polish and foreign researchers working in a Polish scientific institution who would like to conduct research in France. PhD students associated with a Polish institution, but not currently pursuing a doctorate in the cotutelle or codirection system with a French institution, can also apply for the scholarship. The scholarship is addressed to all scientists who wish to establish Polish-French cooperation.
